More than 1,100 students from the Northwestern University gave up sleep and danced for 30 hours in order to raise funds for the Andrew McDonough B+ (Be Positive) Foundation and the Evanston Community Foundation.
The university's 38th annual Dance Marathon $1,107,670, an amount that is $88,000 more than what was raised at the 2011 Dance Marathon.
